In a few days we will be at the halfway point of 2019. Are you on
track with accomplishing your goals? How do you know? Is there more
you could be doing or are you satisfied with where you are today?

In 2005 I began a serious goal setting and achieving program with
a man I still consider my first mentor. During the first few months
of working his program I came to the realization I could change my
life completely if I set goals and worked each day to reach them.

A year later I resigned from the school district where I had been
teaching for twenty years, and gave away my real estate clients to
others who could better serve them. Then I started my online business.

Was I super human, of great intelligence, and able to invest many
thousands of dollars into this new entrepreneurial endeavor? Not even
close. I am of average intelligence, I had cashed out my retirement
savings from the state teacher’s fund, and I will never be a super
human.

What did I have and do instead? I had the good sense to begin soaking
up everything I could online, hired and listened to a mentor who was
doing exactly what I wanted to do, and took action every day, even
if it was a baby step. Thirteen years later I am still doing this.

starting to connect with each other and build relationships. Several

Hi Online-Marketing,

Yesterday was an “off” day for me. I’m not sure why, but I wasn’t
getting much accomplished during my early morning prime time hours.
This is how I handled this dilemma:

* I gave myself permission to not be productive
* I chose three items on my to-do list and worked on them
* As I had ideas throughout the day I wrote them down
* I went swimming, called a friend, and listened to some podcasts
* I hosted a session of my Spring Jump Start training

At some point I laughed out loud, because I still accomplished more
in a day than I would have five or more years ago. Everything in life
is relative. What do you do when you’re having an “off” day?

Last evening I hosted another weekly session of Spring Jump Start.

When I started online in 2006 I was replacing income from
my teaching job and the work I did in real estate. So it
made no sense at all when a few months in I set a daily
goal to make $100 a day. My financial obligation were more
than that.

About two months later I finally made a list of everything

Hi Online-Marketing,

I’m a pretty happy person overall and believe I do an excellent job
of dealing with life and what occurs. But this week was one where I
finally had to step back and accept the fact that it was all getting
to me.

Without going into too many details I will share that my Achilles’
tendon (I have a partial tear) finally made it impossible for me to
walk. Then I found out that my grandson’s cancer has returned. He is
19 and was finally getting on with his life with college, his online
business, and a wonderful girlfriend.

Then last night I found out that one of my closest friends has lost
his adult son. That was the final straw for me and I’m very sad today.

It’s times like these that make me feel so blessed for being able to
do everything from home or from wherever I have an internet connection.
Between not being able to walk and wanting to be there for the people
I love so much, going to a job would not be possible.
