On my podcast yesterday I spoke of a play during Game 7 of the World Series that almost changed the course of history. The home plate umpire called a player out for interference. The call was controversial and new fans of baseball like myself saw it as unfair, and we weren’t alone. It turns out that call is a “judgment call” and could not be reviewed. In that moment one team stood at the crossroads of success or defeat and it was only because of plays that occurred afterwards that they prevailed as the winners of the World Series.
We all make judgment calls every day. And when we do we must also live with the consequences. Today I want you to think about this in regards to your future as an entrepreneur. What choices and decisions are you making that have the potential to change the course of your life? The umpire made his judgment call based upon years of experience in upholding a rule that he may or may not have believed was a fair one; are you learning and then implementing what you learn in a way that allows you to have the best judgment regarding your own situation?
