In 2014 a huge international corporation
began purchasing hosting companies, some
technology firms, and even a company used
by non-profits to send out their emails
to friends and donors. It was all very
public, but most of us didn’t seem to pay
attention to this news at the time.

By 2015 I began to recognize the names of
some of the hosting companies, and that’s
when the corporation began massive layoffs
of employees around the world. It’s done
all of the time, and known as “mergers and
acquisitions”. It’s a billion dollar way
to control an industry, but the fallout is
ugly for the individuals affected.

Then the service at the hosting companies
began to suffer, and I had to rethink the
way I did business online. You see, the
company that hosts your sites controls your
assets, and that is where it gets sticky.
I spend almost two hundred dollars a month
for dedicated hosting, and that is not in
the budget for newer online entrepreneurs.

Hi Online-Marketing,

Today at my Rotary meeting I was surprised
by two guests from Finland. They are a son
and his father who live less than a hundred
kilometers from the town where my family
resides. We became fast friends and I will
be showing them around Santa Barbara this
weekend. Their spouses and three young
children are also here, so my SUV will be
once again filled with a Finnish speaking

Hi Online-Marketing,

Last week while I was in Orlando my
Project Manager alerted me to two sales
that looked suspicious. It turned out
to be fraud and the culprits were soon
found out. And when we looked closer
at the products that were purchased, it
turned out that I have eight more info
products I had completely forgotten!
This can happen when you create many of
them over almost a decade. I will be
updating them to see which ones can be
offered again and will let you know the
topics. They range from publishing on
Kindle to finding more active affiliates
to profiting as a freelance writer.

The reason I went to Orlando was to
attend the Commerce and Content Summit.
There were fourteen hundred people in
attendance, and I made the most of each
day to network with those who could be
mutually beneficial as I grow my online
business, as well as the physical side
with products on Amazon. I have several
interviews and joint ventures in the
