Hi Online-Marketing,

Yesterday was a rough day that we will never forget.
Of course, I am referring to the events in Las Vegas.
A total of ten people from the two cities I live in
were among the seriously injured, and one man lost
his life.

But we must not allow tragedy to instill fear in us
and keep up from pursuing our dreams. Instead, use it
to propel you forward in a way that gives you purpose
and hope. Seeing the images of strangers helping each
other during that terrifying ordeal gives me great
hope for all of mankind.

For today, think about your “reason why” and purpose
for wanting to help others through an online business.
Write down your goals for this last quarter of 2017.

Hi Online-Marketing,

In my previous life as a classroom teacher
and real estate broker/appraiser I counted
the days, and then the hours until it was
Saturday. Even though I still had a weekend
ahead filled with work, Saturday gave me
the chance to catch my breath and sleep an
extra hour.

I wanted every day to be Saturday.

Soon after starting my online business and
leaving my old life behind I realized that
Saturday was typically a day filled with
chores and errands, and that all the stores
were filled with people who also waited
until Saturday to catch up with their week.

After shifting my focus to an entrepreneurs
mind set, I began thinking of every day as
Thursday. To this day my Thursdays, all 7
of them, serve as days of joy and service.
Something to think about, yes?

Hi Online-Marketing,

I like to share my own experiences with the
people I mentor, and one of them I call my
“million dollar a year job.”

During my last two years working as a teacher
I really didn’t want to be there any longer.
But I needed the job and the income and had
to make the best of it.

Then one day I decided to imagine this job
as one that paid me one million dollars a
year (after taxes!) and everything changed.

Stay until 5 pm grading papers?
Work all weekend on a new math curriculum?
Redo the last six weeks of materials?

No problem.

That’s when the magic happened. Instead of
feeling like I wasn’t being appreciated or
that the grass was greener elsewhere, my
work became joyous and rewarding in a way
I hadn’t experienced in many years.

And as I gave more of myself to my work in
terms of time and effort and energy, the
doors to my new life began to unfold. The
next year I resigned from my job with the
school district, knowing that I had done my
very best work during a difficult time.

That was eleven years ago, and now I have
mentees who are having this experience in
own “million dollar a year” jobs until they
leave them to become full time entrepreneurs.

The secret is to love what you’re doing
right now so you can move on to something
even better and more satisfying.

Hi Online-Marketing,

I’m a big fan of joint ventures for many
reasons, including the opportunity to work
with people smarter and more experienced

your story in a few words and I find this
helpful for entrepreneurs. The idea is to
think about your mission and vision and to
then express it in as few words as possible.

I did this with the concept of becoming a
“weekend marketer” and then created a course,
a bestselling book, and several live workshop
events around this phrase – “you can become a
weekend marketer.” What’s your story in a 5
or 6 word phrase?

Another one of mine would be “anyone can be
an online entrepreneur.” Think about this and
