Hi Online-Marketing,

Yesterday I presented to the United
Nations Association chapter here in
Santa Barbara. I was well received,
and saw quickly that this was a very
different kind of speaking engagement
than I usually do. It was much more
like the corporate presentations I do
five or six times a year.

We must truly know our audience to
best serve their needs.

When you put together a book you must
also know your audience. I’m putting
the finishing touches on my ninth book,
entitled Living The Internet Lifestyle.
I used to think of the writing as the
tough part, but now I’ve learned that
it doesn’t have to be that way.

Hi Online-Marketing,

If you follow bicycle racing you
may already know that the Stage
3 finish of the Amgen Tour will be
less than two miles from me here in
Santa Clarita. I’ll be heading down
there in just a few hours to see them
ride into the staging area.

I have two friends who’ll be in
what is called the Breakaway Mile,
and this is done to support cancer
research.

Then tomorrow, as I head back up
to Santa Barbara, Stage 4 of this
great race will be right beside
me. I didn’t plan it this way,
but I’m sure glad I’ll have the
opportunity to see it up close
and maybe get some pictures. I’m
excited about this because these
bicyclists have the passion that
is necessary to be successful.

Hi Online-Marketing,

You know that I usually send an
informative email every morning,
but today I did not. Today I had
a client call first thing, and
then I went back to work on my
new product and my upcoming live
event in October.

I was waiting to hear from a family
member who did not contact anyone
on Mother’s Day. My family became
alarmed when we realized no one had
heard from her in over a week.

It turns out she is fine, but has
been feeling down because of a job
situation. After speaking with her
for more than an hour just now, she
has a better idea of what she’ll be
doing as a career. She needed to
know that we are all 100% behind her
with any decision she makes.

Family comes first, no matter what
else might seem important. Life is
made up of many challenges and other
situations, and it’s how we handle
them that allows us to grow.

I’m now going back to work on a PLR
report that I will be turning into a
short report, an autoresponder series,
and three blog posts. This takes
just a fraction of the time, and
the writing is much better than my
own would be. It’s like a ‘business
in a box’.
