P.S. The periodontist had to cut away my gums
around the tooth with the bone loss, then he
used a sharp instrument to clean all the way
to my jaw bone. Then he used cadaver bone to
build up the tooth and wrapped it in a mineral
mixture to help it solidify over the next few
weeks. Finally, he pulled the gums back up
over the tooth and sutured it all together.

…yes, it hurts. A lot.
