My family has returned to Finland and
Sweden after spending a month in the
States. It was a wild adventure that
none of us will ever forget. Next year
I’ll be back in Europe to spend time
with them in their homelands.
This morning I have guests from China
arriving for a week. They’re the parents
of a young man who was our exchange
student during the summer of 2010. He’s
now starting his last year of law school
in St. Louis, Missouri and we see him
at least once each year. I’ve also been
to China twice and plan on going again
in the near future.
In my former life international travel
was not an option, at least not in the
same way as it is these days.
