This morning we’re taking the train
to Union Station in downtown Los
Angeles to visit Olvera Street, the
Japanese-American Museum, and some
other places of interest. Spending
time as a host family for the Student
Exchange Program can be exhilarating,
frustrating, rewarding, and exhausting,
all in the course of a few hours!
My student, seventeen year old Ryosuke,
is definitely out of his comfort zone.
In fact, that’s why most of the kids
decide to participate in this program
to begin with. Studies show that being
able to think and act in a variety of
situations is good for your mind.
