My first mentor was not a good fit for me,
but I didn’t realize that until I’d spent
quite a bit of money with him. It wasn’t
his fault, as I take full responsibility
for everything in my life. Looking back I
realized that he just wasn’t good with a
person who was brand new to online business.
A year and a half later I hired my second
mentor, and he took me further than I had
ever imagined was possible as an entrepreneur.
He understood what I needed and how to get
the very best out of me every day.
The difference between these two mentors?
That’s easy. The first one made it all about
him, while the second one made it all about
me. Between 2006 and 2009 I made a study of
what makes a mentor valuable, and continue
to work to become the best mentor I can be
to the people who choose to work with me.

or message them. It’s about so much more than
just creating products and courses and learning
how to build up passive and residual income. It
is all about building the trust and getting to
know each other so that our relationship makes
sense to each of us.
