Hi Online-Marketing,
Even though I’ve been successful online for more than
a decade, I continue to work closely with mentors. It
makes a difference and keeps me at the top of my game.
I also mentor newer online entrepreneurs and this is a
rewarding part of my business to watch my people succeed.
Three years ago “Rick” (not his real name) came to me
for help with his online business. He had worked as a
senior accountant and had recently been laid off from
his third job in a decade. He didn’t want to go back.
After dabbling for two full years, mostly on his own,
he still had no products for sale, no clients online or
in his community, and a cringe-worthy book.
The book was on his main topic, yet it was not finished,
had errors throughout, and detracted from his credibility
when people did manage to find it on Amazon.
“Rick” came into my mentor program and worked with me
privately. My goal is to guide people into the very best
version of themselves so they will earn income, garner
respect from family, friends, and their community, and
to prove to themselves they have what it takes. Everyone
does, but few show this side to the world because of
fears and the all too common “limiting beliefs.”
In less than a year he had three introductory products
on his topic, one online course that filled up every
time he taught it, affiliates who promoted him, and JV
partners who began inviting him to speak and teach both
online and at live events.
And he and I worked together for two hours each day for
a week to get his book in shape. He said he didn’t realize
it was so bad until a local business owner bought a copy
and showed it to him at lunch one day.
Mentoring makes a difference. Taking a course here and
there, coaching for a few months in a program where you
can be a “big fish in a small sea” and making a splash
on social media once in awhile will not help you get from
where you are today to where you would like to be this
time next year.
My fiscal year ends on December 28th and I want to fill
my last two spots with the right people. Also, my rates
will increase in January and you do not want to pay more.
