Hi Online-Marketing,
I have now seen more than twenty
films here at the Film Festival in
Santa Barbara, as well as connecting
with people from all walks of life
and filmmaking. I have to say that
my conversations with two actors
have been the highlight for me so far.
The first is one I had late last
night with Christopher Lloyd, who
describes acting as the ability
to have total and complete honesty
under imaginary circumstances.
He lives here in Santa Barbara,
and I love hearing his perspective
on all things related to film.
The second was with Jenny Slate, an
actress who describes herself as
someone with a fascination for life
and who believes in the goodness of
people. She’s also a comedienne and
writes popular children’s books, based
on a character named Marcel the Shell:
Jenny is also the star of a quite
controversial film called ‘Obvious
Child’ for which she is receiving
critical acclaim, including an award
here at the Santa Barbara Festival.
Week two of the festival is now
underway, and my goal is to see
as many films as possible before
I have to head for Las Vegas for
the big Amazon products event.
