During 2017 I made the conscious decision
to change my life and my business in 2018.
I wanted to do things differently and get
out of the rut I felt I was in. This was to
include going to new events, or ones I had
not attended in years, connecting with new
people or reconnecting with those I hadn’t
spent time with in years, and even changing
my twice annual live event and workshop to
a new theme.
One of these changes was in regards to the
Santa Barbara Film Festival. That was what
first brought me to Santa Barbara way back
in 1986, and I have attended most years to
enjoy my favorite past time. I decided last
summer to go to the Sundance Film Festival
instead, and that will be next week in Park
City, Utah. And because of the recent fires
and resulting mudslides in Santa Barbara,
it looks like that festival may not happen
in two weeks.
It’s interesting how life can change in such
a sudden way and makes me want to enjoy each
moment as a part of my life experience.
One thing I have not changed is my commitment
to writing each day. I write for an hour as
many mornings as possible, averaging five in
any given week. This has opened opportunities
for me to be recognized as an authority in my
niche, to speak at venues all over the world,
and to build a body of work that will leave a
legacy when I am gone.
Currently I’m writing my sixteenth book and
outlining the one after that, both of which
will be published this year.

Another change I’ve made is that I’ve started
creating daily videos to get the word out about
what I’m teaching online. They were rough in the
beginning, but after two full weeks of effort I
will start sharing them with you now. This one
