I’ve just come from the symphony where
we heard and watched Beethoven’s Ninth
Symphony: Ode to Joy. The musicians
were joined on stage by a one hundred
fifty person chorus, including more
than fifty from our local high school
here in Santa Barbara.
These presentations inspire me in a
way I can’t explain unless I’m with
you in person. Did you know that he
(Beethoven) only completed nine of
these symphonies during his lifetime?
