I’m using the Hemingway short story title
in my subject line to explain what I’m
experiencing here in Utah this week. Over
the past twenty years I’ve been to Park
City five times for the Sundance Film
Festival, which occurs every January. That
means I have only seen this area blanketed
in snow.
This week the leaves are turning colors,
the wind whistles through the highest
branches, and the ski runs and hills are
the most beautiful color – green! I am
surrounded by green hills where I’m used
to only seeing snow, and it made me think
of Ernest Hemingway’s “Hills Like White
Elephants” short story. And I’m having so
much fun taking lots of photos of it all.
