Both of them produced films that were distributed by Netflix (Burning Sands and White Helmets) and they were explaining to me how their films found audiences worldwide because of the algorithms used by Netflix. We can all do something very similar with Facebook, as well as with LinkedIn and a few other sites. The idea is that once someone shows an interest in X, it’s very likely they will also be interested in Y. Hi Online-Marketing, Last night I spent the evening with Jeff Bridges. He’s a local here in Santa Barbara, so we run into each other quite often at charity events. The film festival gave him the “American Riviera” Award last night and we had a chance to talk. Jeff asked me about my business and I told him that many of my people do not focus on what they want to achieve. That’s when he shared that he also has this issue. In fact, he just completed a painting where he’s in a boat and searching for what he wants. He titled it “Jeff Makes a Decision.” He asked me if you would change your behavior if “The Dude” asked you to. I answered that perhaps “The Dude” could be more effective than I am, but that it is still up to the individual. Then he laughed and let me hold his award. That was cool.
