Hi Online-Marketing, This morning we’re taking the train to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles to visit Olvera Street, the Japanese-American Museum, and some other places of interest. Spending time as a host family for the Student Exchange Program can be exhilarating, frustrating, rewarding, and exhausting, all in the course of a few hours! My student, seventeen year old Ryosuke, is definitely out of his comfort zone. In fact, that’s why most of the kids decide to participate in this program to begin with. Studies show that being able to think and act in a variety of situations is good for your mind. Yesterday’s podcast broadcast was a very valuable one, if I do say so myself. Hi Online-Marketing, I left Atlanta and the NAMS event early to return home to California, where my Japanese exchange student was waiting for me. This is part of Rotary International’s summer student exchange program, and I love being a part of it. My student’s name is Ryosuke (ree-OS-kay) and he loves dogs and the Beatles. Right now we are listening to the Help! album and getting to know him better. My little Yorkie, Sarah loves him already. This entire week is filled with fun activities so he and the other students can learn more about the United States.
