Hi Online-Marketing, Today is Memorial Day in the U.S. It’s a day where we remember and honor those who’ve given their lives in service to our country and there are parades and other ceremonies everywhere. I hope you don’t mind if I ask you to also remember the six college students who were killed in the massacre near Santa Barbara Friday night. This has shaken our little community to the core as we think of these young lives taken in such a violent and horrific way. My grandson is starting there in the fall and now I am afraid for him. I haven’t had this level of fear for many years. Hold your loved ones a little bit closer and enjoy your day, no matter where you are in the world. Hi Online-Marketing, Last night a few of us went to the Stephen Stills concert. I first saw him as part of the group Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young back in the 1970s, and have enjoyed this music throughout the years of my life. David Crosby lives in Santa Barbara, has a sailboat in the Harbor, and frequents our two local book stores, so we knew he’d be there. Sure enough, he joined Stephen on stage and rocked the house for three full hours. Why am I sharing this with you? I find that allowing myself to become totally immersed in the moment clears my head in a way that helps my business move forward. That’s one of the reasons I offer a Retreat in Santa Barbara for my students. It takes them out of their daily routine and allows them to focus on themselves and the others in our group as they move forward rapidly. The words to one song last night made me realize the importance of community as we build a strong business and life for ourselves. Hi Online-Marketing, This morning my neighbor stopped me while I was on my walk to ask for my help.
