Hi Online-Marketing, The principle of periodicity refers to the tendency of something to recur at specific intervals, like the new and full moon, the start of the school year, or a course being offered online. Yes, the last example is about the one week opening of the Amazon ASM course for seven days every six months; four times now since the spring of 2013. What throws off this particular instance of periodicity is the fact that next time it is offered, in April of 2015, the cost will be significantly greater. Also, if you wait until then six months will have passed without you getting in on something that can change your life and the lives of those around you. Hi Online-Marketing, Last night I went to the social hour hosted by my Rotary Club. I sat by a man named Greg who is a banker at one of the biggest institutions in Santa Barbara. I asked him if he loves his work. He looked me straight in the eyes and said: “No, I love nothing about it. I’m an idea man and this work stifles that side of me. Even my kids can see that I’m unhappy.” He went on to tell me about his daughter who just started high school and his son who is in the second grade. “My daughter and I used to be so close, but now I work so many hours we hardly see each other. I don’t even know her new high school friends. My son is now old enough to realize I won’t be able to see his ball games or visit his classroom very often. Pretty soon he’ll be too old for that and I will have missed it all. They have a field trip next week and I wish I could go along to see his reaction to exploring new things.” His bank is open on Saturday, and twice a month he has to be there from nine until six.
