Hi Online-Marketing, Back in the old days, during the 1980’s and 90s, it took a huge financial investment to start a business. I borrowed twenty-five thousand dollars to start my real estate company and I was doing it on a shoestring. It took a full year for me to be “in the black” and earning profits. Then there was the huge time commitment; to keep my doors open I had to have someone there physically. Every other year I took a ten day vacation and had to pay people to look after the real estate business then. On the other hand, I started my online business in 2006 with just a couple of thousand dollars. I needed domains and hosting and training, and then I was officially an entrepreneur. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw how easily I was able to get started! So, if you think it’s expensive to get started online, please consider the alternatives. Hi Online-Marketing, This weekend I’ll be working simultaneously with two groups. The first is the Salvation Army and my Rotary Club is ringing the bell in downtown Santa Barbara. Across town I’m with Habitat for Humanity distributing evacuation kits to those living in the debris flow zone from last year’s fires and mudslides. Hi Online-Marketing, Last night several of the non-profits I work with held their annual holiday party. It was a progressive dinner, meaning that you start at one house for the hors d’oeuvres, drive to another for the appetizers, yet another for the soup or salad, and so on through all eight courses. It turned out I was not the only one who jumped the line and after four courses drove straight over to the last house for dessert. There were more than seventy people in all and we raised money for some important groups in our community. Hi Online-Marketing, Every year I go through a detailed goal setting, achieving, and planning ritual during the final two weeks of the year. This will be the fourteenth year in a row for me, and five years ago my family members decided to join me. This gives us focus and purpose for the year ahead and then we review and update what we have planned every quarter throughout each year. Our areas of focus include: * Health * Family/Friends * Finances * Spirituality * Hobbies * Mission/Vision Within each of these we decide how we wish to proceed in order to move closer to the lifestyle we’ve chosen to design for ourselves. Hi Online-Marketing, Last night my family was invited to a Wassailling. Wassail is a beverage of hot mulled cider, and this party included more sweet treats than I have ever seen in one location. Then we sang carols and spent time visiting with one another. It was tons of fun.
