Hi Online-Marketing, Today I’m in Las Vegas to attend the largest training on selling physical products on Amazon and other online sites. My specialty is to source products wholesale and then private label them for sale under my brand name. Hi Online-Marketing, I have now seen more than twenty films here at the Film Festival in Santa Barbara, as well as connecting with people from all walks of life and filmmaking. I have to say that my conversations with two actors have been the highlight for me so far. The first is one I had late last night with Christopher Lloyd, who describes acting as the ability to have total and complete honesty under imaginary circumstances. He lives here in Santa Barbara, and I love hearing his perspective on all things related to film. The second was with Jenny Slate, an actress who describes herself as someone with a fascination for life and who believes in the goodness of people. She’s also a comedienne and writes popular children’s books, based on a character named Marcel the Shell: connieLoves.me/Marcel Jenny is also the star of a quite controversial film called ‘Obvious Child’ for which she is receiving critical acclaim, including an award here at the Santa Barbara Festival. Week two of the festival is now underway, and my goal is to see as many films as possible before I have to head for Las Vegas for the big Amazon products event. Hi Online-Marketing, We tend to have blinders on when it comes to things we may have little interest in, and that’s normal. It’s like the conversation I overheard at the film festival between two men. They were discussing whether or not that ‘big game’ was today or next Sunday and who might be playing this year. Knowing the answers to these types of questions may help you to connect further with your prospects, while also increasing your visibility and credibility. Here are some resources to get the answers you need and build yourself a lucrative business. One is a site called Feedly, and you can quickly find the people and the sites that are actively discussing the topics you are interested in. If content curation is of interest to you, then this no cost site will make that process a quick and easy one. It’s at: feedly.com For example, my neighbor is interested in macrame and wanted to sell patterns online. She found everything she needed at Feedly to blog and engage her readers and to sell more patterns and related products as well. Next, I’d like to share my experiences on Facebook with you. Hi Online-Marketing, It’s Day 5 of the film festival here in Santa Barbara and I’m having so much fun with the group of people who are with me this year. They include the team I assembled for the film I am helping to get produced, as well as friends who are also cinephiles. Yesterday we saw ‘Life Itself’, the story of film critic Roger Ebert. Chaz Ebert, his widow, is here this year, and I was able to tell her how kind Roger was to me over the years when I saw him at this festival and the others I’ve attended – Sundance in Utah and Telluride in Colorado. Last night we honored Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne for their work in ‘The Theory of Everything’ with the Cinema Vanguard award.
