Hi Online-Marketing, My three day live event here in Los Angeles has now concluded and I have to say it was the most enjoyable and productive event I have ever hosted. We had several excellent speakers and everyone learned what they needed to do next when it comes to achieving success as an online entrepreneur. Hi Online-Marketing, Seven years ago this month I did something I had been dreaming of for a few years, which was to host a live event on marketing. Being fairly new to the world of online marketing, I decided to co-host this first event with someone who was a seasoned professional in the field. My partner for this was Dr. Jeanette Cates, someone who had become my mentor over the previous year. When we arrived at the hotel and saw everyone lined up to sign in, it brought me to tears. The fact that people had enough trust in Jeanette and I to teach them how to build a lucrative business and fly halfway around the world to join us was overwhelming. That’s when I first understood the power and emotion that goes into helping someone else achieve their dreams. After three years of hosting five live events from Las Vegas to Austin, Jeanette and I decided to move on to other projects. When I made the decision to start up again on my own in 2012 she was the first person I called. We continue to be good friends and having her blessing has always made me feel like she is still there in the background cheering me on. Hi Online-Marketing, I spent the day being a tourist in my own city, and it was more fun than I ever imagined. We hiked up to the former home of silent movie actor William S. Hart and saw the descendants of the bison given to him by Walt Disney in the 1960s. Then we saw the ‘Western Walk of Fame’ along Main Street where the likes of Gene Autry, Dennis Weaver, John Wayne, Tom Mix and a hundred others are being honored by a plaque and inscription that connects their work to Santa Clarita. Years ago I never imagined I’d be living in a city where shows like Deadwood and CSI were filmed, and movies like the Twilight series and Django Unchained would be produced. Isn’t it funny how we end up having things in our lives we never thought would be part of our life experience? I also never imagined that I’d be selling physical products on Amazon, yet a year and half ago I welcomed the possibility into my experience and changed my business forever. If I hadn’t been willing to ‘sightsee’ right in my own backyard I might not have ever discovered this fantastic opportunity.
