Hi Online-Marketing,
You may be new to my community, or not so new but have forgotten
my story of how I began earning income back in 2006. Please bear
with me as I recount the details.
I had found out that everyday people were making money on the internet
and this was intriguing to me. By November of 2005 I had purchased
some audio recordings that explained how to sell information products
from two or three page websites. You could also sell other people’s
products and earn affiliate income. Blogging about the topics was the
way to drive targeted traffic to these sites and make sales.
By January of 2006 I had a dozen niche blogs set up and was promoting
affiliate products on each of them. I couldn’t think of any ideas for
my own product at that point so everything was an affiliate offering.
In April of 2006 I made my first sale! I earned an affiliate commission
of $21.60 from the sale of an affiliate product on dog training that
sold for $37. Yes, I was beside myself with excitement. No, this was
not going to replace my income and give me the financial freedom I was
craving. Also, I had already incurred expenses for domains, hosting,
products, and courses along the way.
That summer I hired a mentor to guide me. He explained that if this
was to be a profitable business and not just a hobby I would have to
make that commitment to myself and do the work. Within weeks I was
earning more and more affiliate commission and by November (one year
after getting started) I had created my first product.
It is rare to earn income during your first several months. These days
it is much simpler because of PLR (private label rights) content and
people like me who love to mentor and teach the strategies that work.
One reason I recommend so much PLR is that this is still the fastest
and easiest way to create your own products. My most recent one this
past week was created in about three hours using the simple formula
