It’s 111 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon,
but the good news is that I felt it up close
and personal because I was able to leave my
house alone for the first time in a week.
My Achilles tendon is much better today.

dozen people attended live. This was because
I announced it last minute and hosted it on
a Friday afternoon leading into a holiday
weekend in the States – it’s Labor Day on Monday.

P.S. Tonight I’m volunteering with a group
called Safe Rides. They offer impaired teens
a “no questions asked” safe ride home. This
was started thirty years ago by a woman whose
nineteen year old son was killed by a drunk
driver, and has saved many lives since then.
My shift is from nine until two in the morning,
so please send me energetic thoughts to stay
awake and alert while I’m in their office. No
sleeping is allowed while I’m on duty!
