Long ago we used to celebrate Lincoln’s
and Washington’s birthdays separately.
President Lincoln was born on February
12, and President Washington on February
22, even though his used to be celebrated
on the 15th. And way back in 1982, while
working for Liberty Mutual Insurance as
a Claims Adjuster, I enjoyed a four day
weekend when these birthday celebrations
occurred on a Friday and a Monday, as they
would have this year.
But times changed, and now all of the U.S.
Presidents share one holiday on the third
Monday of February, and this holiday is
referred to as President’s Day.
I only bring this up because as an online
entrepreneur you can take time off most
any day, regardless of what the people
around you are required to do. This is a
blessing, to be sure.
