Online-Marketing, lost in translation and what to do about it

Hi Online-Marketing,

Today I saw several excellent films,
including one called “The Translator”
about a man who translates a diary
for a woman whose husband has recently
passed away. It’s an Italian film and
the diary had been written in German,
the mother tongue of the husband.

It reminded me of how all of us can
misinterpret things we read and listen
to because we’re online and not face
to face. For example, I’ve been to the
Traffic & Conversion Summit three times
in person, and for the past two years
have chosen to do other things instead.
This year I chose to attend all two
weeks of the film festival instead of
going to San Diego for this event.

And talk about being lost in translation…

My first time at Traffic & Conversion
all of it went over my head. But that
made me excited at the prospect of having
so much ahead of me. This year it means
everything to me to have Tim Castleman
and his six person team there taking the
kind of notes that only an experienced
group can take. Even Ryan Deiss has said
how much he appreciates what Tim does.

Best of all, you will also receive the
notes from 2013, 2014, and 2015 as a
Special Bonus. My recommendation is to
go back and review these while you await
the one hundred plus page Notes from
this year is a week or so.

I’m off to the Director’s Awards this
evening. Please email me if you have any
questions.

To Your Massive Online Success,
Connie
