Yesterday I spent time with the Interact
students, planning service projects
for the next two months. This is the
high school version of Rotary, and I
have been involved for several years
in a leadership capacity with kids of
a variety of backgrounds and experience.
What amazes me most is their willingness
to help others, including the homeless,
premature babies, and families dealing
with hunger and illness. They just keep
on giving and get great joy from doing
so. It’s a lesson to all of us and gives
me great faith in our future.
