Last year I met a man named Raul.
He’s a critical care nurse at a
hospital just outside of Santa
Clarita, so we are practically
neighbors. I’ve been a patient
more than my share, so I connected
with him right away because he is
such a caring person.

Raul and I first met at a Meetup
in Santa Clarita started a few years
ago by my friend Wil Mattos. I’ve
presented to that group a few times,
and Jason Fladlien likes to stop by
when he’s in town.

But this is really about Raul.

Last October Raul and a few others
came to my house one evening so that
