Hi Online-Marketing, Welcome to You if You’re New to My Community – You’re in the Right Place! This weekend I hosted a private Retreat for two of my clients here in Santa Barbara. The weather was nearly perfect (some high winds passing through) and we were all satisfied with what we were able to accomplish during our three days together. It turns out there may be a formula, or at least a blueprint for online entrepreneurship after all. My clients live in a rural area in New Jersey now, after spending most of their married life in Las Vegas. They both retired during 2012 at the age of 62. They were hoping to live off the retirement investments they had been making over the previous thirty years. But there was one problem…the Great Recession of 2008 had taken its toll and their savings had dwindled down to next to nothing. In 2014 they relocated to New Jersey to live with their son and daughter-in-law and started working as substitute teachers. This was exhausting and they found the schools to be filled with “clicks” and the union to be less than honorable. I had similar experiences while working as a teacher for twenty years in Los Angeles. Last year they came to me to learn how to earn an income online. They work hard and have created half a dozen products, two courses, and a membership site in their niche. We took a closer look at what it takes to get started as an online entrepreneur and how to ramp up your earnings once you have laid the foundation. 1) What’s for sale? Ask yourself this question every day. Do not let a month go by without adding a new product in your business. 2) Use PLR (private label rights) content to create your first, or next products. Instead, I was someone who wanted to write (and do many other things as well) but who seldom took action. When I did follow through there wasn’t much chance I would do it consistently. Hi Online-Marketing, This has been a most interesting day, so far. Someone asked me about a personal issue and I emailed them back with the details. When they commented back that I sure was willing to “tell it like it is” my thought was “is there any other way?” We are ordinary human beings working to live an extraordinary experience and lifestyle. We’re all going to skin our knees once in awhile. What makes us super human is our willingness to keep at it with consistency and persistence. Most people don’t do this. Hi Online-Marketing, Yesterday my Canadian friends celebrated Canada Day and on Thursday the States celebrate Independence Day. You read and hear a lot about the wonderful world of online entrepreneurship and how it enables us to work from anywhere and create the life we choose. Hold on a minute…there’s more to the story. Much more. Before you can enjoy this lifestyle most will only dream of you must engage in something few are willing to fully embrace. Hard work. Diligence. Consistency. Perseverance. Hi Online-Marketing, With the first half of 2019 now just a reflection in the rear view mirror, I sincerely hope you are ready to make waves for yourself during the third and fourth quarters of the year. We get to choose our destination and that is why this is exactly where we need to be in our life’s journey. I took time last night and this morning to review the goals I have completed, those I have delegated, and to give one last thought to the goals I’ve decided to let go, at least for now. Hi Online-Marketing, Welcome to You If You Are New to My Community! It was June of 2009 and I was in Minneapolis to speak at a large marketing conference. I was pacing back and forth backstage and then the host introduced me. I quickly took the stage, smiled into the audience, and hoped no one could tell how afraid I was on that day. I introduced myself and began my presentation. My heart was beating out of my chest as I moved through the first few slides. Then it happened. Something I had said made a person in the audience laugh. I kind of answered that laugh with another comment and more people were laughing. I moved on to the next slide and was in control. They thought I was funny! At that moment everything changed and I was no longer nervous or afraid. As I looked out into the sea of faces I reminded myself to cherish that moment. This is what I said to myself: “You want to be an effective public speaker. Your goal is to share your message with as many people as possible. You want to grace the stage with your presence and enjoy every moment. This is exactly what that feels like, Connie, so remember this moment forever.” I sold more than any of the other speakers that weekend. By having fun with my presentation and with the audience members I had catapulted myself to new heights and my world expanded exponentially. I now speak regularly to people from many walks of life on several topics I am considered to be an expert in. I have also hosted more than twenty live events of my own. I also spent several hours each day reading, listening to audios, and writing for my blogs. Yes, I was busy with what I thought of as summer school and never thought to complain about not having more free time to spend on typical summer activities. Why? Because my investment of time and money that summer catapulted me to the next level of income by the fall. I was willing to forego many things during that time so I could enjoy greater life experiences later on.
